Project Management

The development of any new product or process through to a commercialised product requires a wide range of activities from a number of disciplines. The coordination and management of these activities is therefore vital in achieving an efficient and effective new product development process, and to do this Filtrona Filter Products has assembled a team of trained and qualified Project Managers from a number of different backgrounds (engineering, scientific and business). Maintaining a flexible approach within a broad framework, designed by Filtrona specifically for the development of filter products, it is their role to: 

  • Manage product development projects through from concept to full commercialisation
  • In line with the agreed objectives of any given project, outline and then maintain an appropriate project plan
  • Manage and coordinate activities across the project team to ensure they are in accordance with the project’s plan and objectives
  • Maintain suitable communications to keep the client aware of a project’s status at all times
  • Manage any risks and issues that arise through the course of a project to mitigate their effect
  • Conduct post-project reviews to ensure that our learning and experiences from one project are captured and lessons learned applied to future projects

In order to maintain a focused approach, support the Project Managers, and ensure that resources are allocated accordingly within the Technology Centre’s project portfolio, monthly management meetings review progress on each project within the month and agree appropriate actions plans for all projects going forward.
