Filtrona Filter Products has been in cigarette filter-making for more than 60 years. Our highly experienced and knowledgeable engineering team adds value to the development process both at the piloting stage of the development cycle, via the design and modification of our pilot machinery, and most importantly, once a new product concept is proven to be effective, by designing building and commissioning efficient high-speed commercial production machinery to facilitate the manufacture of commercial production volumes.

Our engineering philosophy is, where possible, to utilise proven third-party production equipment modified to Filtrona’s design to produce new filter types. This strategy allows the efficient production of new filter types in the shortest possible timescale and at optimum capital cost. Our engineering team and process experts work together  to commission a fully-commercial process producing the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost.

In addition to filter production equipment, Filtrona also design and build any bespoke quality instrumentation needed to quality assure any new product type.
