Benefits of Triple Segment Filter

The Filtrona Triple Segment filter has a three segment configuration which enables a combination of either two or three different materials to be used for maximum filtration flexibility. This filter has the combined benefit of clean running and efficient manufacture whilst providing the opportunity to add brand sophistication and value. This filter is available in both slim and super-slim variants.

Construction of Triple Segment filter

The Triple Segment filter consists of an acetate mouth segment combined with a centre and tobacco end segments of any filter construction. The centre segment is acetate loaded with activated carbon.

Each of the segments is enclosed in a plugwrap which can be either standard or porous depending on ventilation requirements. Alternatively, the tobacco and mouth segments can use non-wrapped acetate for a high-quality end appearance. The filter segments are then wrapped in an outer plugwrap which can also be standard or porous depending on the required ventilation. 

A wide range of configurations, lengths, circumferences, and additive loadings can be selected. This ensures each construction is precisely designed to suit the taste and filtration requirements of the customer and enhance a particular brand.
