pH, moisture & density

  • Tobacco Density
    The mass per unit of volume for the processed tobacco product.
  • Moisture content
    The quantity of water contained within a material. This is usually measured by determining the weight loss after drying at 105°C.
  • pH
    pH, standing for "power of hydrogen",  was first introduced by Danish chemist Søren Peder Lauritz Sørensen at the Carlsberg Larboratory in 1909. pH describes the negative logarithm of the concentration of hydrogen ions in solution.
