As legislation solidifies for cigarettes, cigars are becoming the next focus area for regulators. Brazil is pioneering this new legislative trend and this range covers the testing data required by regulators. Many of the mainstream and sidestream smoke measurements can also be applied to cigars.

Alkaloids are produced by a large variety of organisms, including bacteria, fungi, plants and animals and are part of the group of secondary metabolites

  • Nornicotine
    A colorless liquid alkaloid which can be extracted from tobacco and used as a plant insecticide. 
  • Myosmine
    This is a tobacco alkaloid which has a wide spread occurrence in various foods.
  • Anabasine
    A pyridine alkaloid found in the Tree Tobacco (Nicotiana glauca) plant.
  • Anatabine
    A colourless to yellowish liguid which is formed naturally in tobacco plants and is the most abundant of the minor alkaloids
